"I was born in 1969 and grew up in the
market town of Newtownards, Co. Down. I first caught the photography
'bug' in about 1986 after purchasing my first 35mm S.L.R.
I was then lucky enough to get a Trainee Press
Photographer position with the Newtownards Chronicle in 1988 , this confirmed to
me that photography was my passion.
I returned to full time education taking courses
in Art & Design, Graphic Design and Photography and in 1993 I undertook a degree
in Visual Communication specialising in Photography and duly graduated From the
University of Ulster in 1996.
After graduating
I
gained considerable work experience with some of the best Commercial and Wedding
Photographers in Northern Ireland. I did my first wedding in 1998 and set up my
own business running it from my home in Belfast which I share with my
wife Jean and two over-indulged doggies - Tippy and Bailie."
